As a team we utilise knowledge transfer, operations and product development to work with a broad range of development tooling.
That includes areas such as:
• Continuous Delivery building blocks (Jenkins, Gitlab CI, check out our blog entry)
• Application platform (service catalogue, monitoring, deployment)
• Development Environment
• External services (CDN, Heroku, AWS)
That way we are an important factor in enabling DevOps at SVTi. We are constantly working on the interface between product teams and the Infrastructure team inside SVTi, as well as the IT department at SVT and have a strongly integrative function.
Our very small team needs to be on top of the different teams’ challenges and use cases to be able to set our own agenda. At the same time we have a strong security and quality mindset and are trying to be as prestige-less as possible and prefer pragmatic solutions over complexity.
Who are you?
Technically, you are both a generalist as well as a specialist. You see the big picture and think long-term, sensing structural deficiencies and feel a passion for fixing these. You are communicative and enjoy moderating and sharing your knowledge with others. You like to be the spider in the web, craving to know everything that is going on, even in an organisation of 150+ developers.
You do likely come from a development background, enabling you to understand the product teams’ needs. We believe in own freedom and responsibility which will suit you well, as a pragmatic and responsible worker. Humble, creative and helpful people with integrity that like challenging the status quo are highly valued here.
SVT interactive (SVTi) is a highly specialised unit inside SVT that works with online services and digital video on the bleeding edge of technology. Just the kind of place where the media consumption of tomorrow is taking form. At SVTi, we are working for a growing market and have in the recent years had great success with, amongst others, svt.se and SVT Play that has reshaped TV consumption in Sweden.
SVT is going through a digital shift where more and more services are primary focus on the web. SVTi is SVT’s digital development unit. To make our developers effective and happy we’re seeking a new devops engineer to our Developer Experience team.

Team autonomy is one of our most fundamental values here at SVTi. Having independent and self-responsible teams that each own distinct products works well with our organisation that is built around our different services, be it the Bolibompa app or SVT Play. With everything built around team autonomy, the challenges in such an organisation, unsurprisingly, lies in consistency and synergy between the different teams.
