As part of the Product Verification team you are to ensure that we guide R&D towards the right quality level at launch to increase the competitiveness of ASSA ABLOY Entrance System products.
You will be part of a dynamic R&D team and work with products related to our Business Area Industrial Doors and Docking Solutions (IDDS). You will be working with the automation team for controlling overhead sectional doors, docking systems, folding doors and related accessories including related support SW packages for connecting doors to our control centre. Our door automation solutions are required to meet a number of stringent national and international safety standards whilst at the same time they must not compromise on user experience, customer requirements, energy efficiency or security.
About the job
The R&D for IDDS automation is a new team in Landskrona which was formed in 2014 and as such the group is in an exciting transitional phase, with emphasis on dynamic entrepreneurial skills. You will be supporting a small team of skilled engineers where you will be challenging their solutions regarding quality, safety and reliability. We are also updating our ways-of-working and tool chains to provide a great environment for product development and verification. You are responsible for making sure that we fulfil requirements on our products from a testing aspect, and that we fully cover and pass tests needed to launch a product.
Your position as Test Leader will have a very central role in the projects with planning and executing tests, as well as driving continuous development of testing methods, specifications and processes.
You will also be part of a site test team together with test leaders and engineers from our Pedestrian Door Solutions business area where you will participate in overall company strategies within test.

We believe that you have the ability to drive, engage and support colleagues, as well as being a strong partner for the R&D team. Working as a team comes naturally, and you also have the ability to work independently when needed.
To be successful in this role you probably have a degree in engineering (M, E or D) and 5 years of broad experience of the testing craftsmanship within electromechanical products and systems.
At times our doors need adjustments, and you will be fixing and screwing to ensure that the test objects are ready for test.
Experience from leading projects and others is an advantage.
As we are an international organization working with colleagues in Holland, Czech Republic, and Romania, your English skills need to be excellent.
